A quality-switched laser (Q-Switched) is a non-invasive laser that creates high-intensity pulsed beam light.
-Skin pigment ‘melanin’ (Freckles, Melasma…)
-Lesions like nevus
The laser energy pulse, releases the pigment into the skin. The energy is absorbed by the ink particles which then shatter into tiny fragments so it can be naturally reabsorbed and disposed of by the body.
During the treatment, discolorations or pigment lesions it only affects the pigment, without damaging the surrounding skin. The process of mild exfoliation, which begins on the following day.
Healing process of the skin takes 2 to 7 days.
Number of sessions depends on:
– Kind of pigment
– Tattoo depth
– Method of performing the tattoo
-Location of the tattoo
-Individual characteristics of the patient.
Complete protection against the sunshine and usage of skin repair creams are obligatory to speed the healing process.
Contraindications of Q- Switch laser:
