IPL Laser ( Intense pulse light Treatment )

Intense pulsed light (IPL) is a cosmetic skin treatment. IPL delivers multiple wavelengths. This means that IPL can treat a larger area of skin in a shorter time.

IPL works in a similar way to laser therapy, but it is less focused and effective than a laser.

IPL penetrates down to the second layer of your skin (dermis) without harming the top layer (epidermis), so it causes less damage to your skin.

Applications:

-acne scars

-Skin blemishes

-Melasma, a condition causing brown or gray-brown skin patches

– Hair removal

To prepare for the procedure, it is necessary to avoid the following for 2 weeks:

-sunbathing and tanning beds

-waxing

-chemical peels

-collagen injections

Immediately before and after therapy, people should also, avoid using any perfume or deodorant on the treatment area.

After the procedure, the treated area may look red which tends to last shortly after.

The length and number of sessions needed will depend on each individual’s treatment plan.

It needs more sessions rather than Laser therapy, it can take anything up to 6 to 12 sessions per month to notice the results of IPL treatment.
