Thread lift

Thread lift procedure is an almost invasive procedure which tighten your skin by inserting medical-grade thread material into skin and then “pulling” it up by tightening the thread.
Thread lifts are considered a low-risk procedure with minimal recovery time, but side effects of redness, bruising, and swelling do occur.
This procedure can be performed in about 45 minutes, and you can go right back to work or life afterward.
Results from a thread lift typically last from 1 to 3 years. For best results, it is better to combine a thread lift with other kinds of rejuvenation (anti-aging) procedures.
This technique aims to lift and sculpt the shape of face or breasts.
The best age for candidates is during 30s to 50s
The thread lift procedure works in two ways.
The first is right after placing threading thin sutures and pulling skin tight around your forehead, eyebrows and neck.
The secondary effect is seen due to stimulation of collagen production in the affected area. These collagen strings makes the skin appearing tighter and more structured which usually will last for 3 years.
Topical anesthetic will be injected before the procedure.
A thin needle or cannula will be used to insert the threads underneath skin. It can take 30 to 45 minutes.
While the needles being taken out, the threads will stay under skin and within very tiny spikes and hooks will be attached to tissues. Suitable pulling will lead to lift the skin.
The areas which thread lift can be done include:
Jowls and jawline
Brow line
Under-eye area
Forehead
Cheeks
Thread lifts are also used to lift and tighten breasts, especially after weight loss and pregnancy.
Possible side effects of thread lift:
Bruising, swelling, bleeding, slight pain at the site of the thread injection
Complications to look out for include:
Allergic reaction to ingredients in the threading material
Severe bleeding building up behind lifted skin
Dimpling or pulling where the threads have been inserted
Infection at the site of the procedure (fever, infectious discharge, persistent headache or swelling for more than 48 hours)
Severe pain as a result of the thread being too “tight” in tissue.
You can go back to work right away after bruising and swelling resolve.
Results should be apparent right after the threads are put into place, but it will increase in the days and weeks.
Thread lift effects typically last from 1 to 3 years.
Other cosmetic procedures like Botox or Filler injection can be done provided that swelling will resolved at the site of the thread injection
You should use your suitable moisturizer for the first few weeks after a thread lift, and sleep with your head propped up in first following days so there will be no pressure on the sites while you sleep.
High intensity workouts should not be done for the first weeks after the thread lift is performed.
